Spotify Client on Ubuntu 12.04

Posted on Posted in Ubuntu

Ubuntu linux is gaining ground all over the place in both business and home use.  It’s reliable, fast, and the user interface is stunningly intuitive.  You might even be reading this post from an Ubuntu machine and I tip my hat to you if that’s the case.  If you are missing out on streaming Spotify music just because you are running Ubuntu on your computer, there is no need to fret.  Just run these commands in the terminal and you will be in business.

#sudo apt-key adv –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-keys 4E9CFF4E

#sudo sh -c ‘echo “deb http://repository.spotify.com stable non-free” >> /etc/apt/sources.list’

#sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install spotify-client-qt

#spotify
